One Team, One Dream: The story of a non-techie bunch and our journey with Drupal

HuliHealth is a Chicago-based healthcare tech startup. We want to transform healthcare through empowering patients to choose the best doctors for them by providing a information platform to help patients select, review and make appointments with doctors (think of us as a Tripadvisor meets Expedia for doctors).

Co-founded by Wharton MBA classmates - without any clue about web development - , we came together in early 2011 and will be launching our product, coded on top of Drupal, later this year.

We would like to share with you our thought process in selecting Drupal, and our experiences, from a business perspective, of how we've found the journey since then, focusing on the software development exprience and our interactions with the Chicago Drupal community.

What questions will your session answer?:
Outsource vs. in-house development from a startup's perspective.
Why did we choose Drupal over all other proposed platforms? (even against recommendations of some developers)
What were our reservations to choosing Drupal?
What has been experience to date?
How have our interactions been with the Drupal community?
